1st Time Visitors

Our Morning Worship Service begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Worship Center, but you can come about 30 minutes early if you'd like to check-in your children at our brand new preschool and elementary facilities. You will find guest parking conveniently located in front of Sherwood's main entrance, at Doncaster Drive and Acker Drive. If you park in another parking lot, shuttles can transfer you to several of the church entrances and return you near your vehicle after the service. Any of our greeters are happy to assist your family and show you around the children's and youth areas, Welcome Desk and Worship Center. The Morning Worship Service usually ends around 11 a.m. after worship and a biblical message from our pastor or guest speaker (Children 1st - 5th grade remain with parents in the Morning Worship Service).

We would like to meet you and your family at the Welcome Desk in the Atrium after the morning service. From there, we can guide you to a Bible Study class (each class meets from 11 a.m. - noon). Bible Study is an important aspect of community life at Sherwood.

We hope you return for Evening worship Service at 6 p.m. and House of Prayer at 5:15 p.m. Children will enjoy Kid's Rock on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. in the Joy Building. Make sure to arrive a few minutes early to check children in at the guest check-in desk in the Joy Building.

We also invite you to Wednesday evening programs at Sherwood. There are Bible Studies and activities for each member of your family beginning at 6:30 p.m.

If you have a child with special needs, there is a ministry available for your child and your family called the Buddy Ministry.

Interested in joining Sherwood?

So, you're figuring out your way around the buildings, you've found your favorite coffee station and you've even been tempted to try out the two-story indoor playground slides yourself...it's time to join Sherwood Baptist Church!

First, attend Sherwood Story—an hour-long program that combines a video, printed material and one-on-one time with a Sherwood counselor. Sherwood Story is available twice a month, usually on a Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Chapel and on a Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in Faith 206. Check the Worship Folder for the next Sherwood Story date. New members are presented during an Evening Worship Service. You will be happily welcomed into the Sherwood family!

In addition to Sherwood Story, you have the option of attending the Discover Sherwood class. It meets four consecutive weeks and allows you to learn more about the history of Sherwood, doctrinal beliefs, finding out your spiritual gifts, learning about areas you can serve and a tour of the facilities. Discover Sherwood meets on Wednesday evenings in room Faith 206 (second floor, Faith building).
