Get the Picture (Part 2)
Last week we looked at the background of this passage and what the vineyard was a picture of in ancient Hebrew culture. It’s very likely that Jesus stopped at a vineyard along the way as He revealed to His disciples the secret of His own earthly experience and ministry: abiding in the Father. Jesus taught them that their maximum usefulness in the kingdom would come through pruning as the Father removes unproductive parts that hinder growth.
