THE UPPER ROOM: ABIDE AND ABOUND
God’s Plan Is Abiding
In the last message, we looked at the source of our sufficiency and strength, recognizing that abiding is the outward expression of the inward life. Jesus is looking for our obedience, and the key to obedience is abiding. Unfortunately, we become stagnate when we begin to compartmentalize our faith and compromise in areas of obedience. Therefore, we eventually get discouraged and burn out, believing that Christianity doesn’t really work and isn’t worth our time and devotion. In the end, we give the wrong impression to a lost world of what Christianity truly is, and our disobedience impacts our children and those we love.
