Children Go Where I Send Thee
GOD WANTS TO USE YOU
Jonah 3, 4
Jonah is an honest look at a prophet who was asked by God to share the gospel with a group of people he hated. He was all in favor of God judging them, but he resented the fact that God might save them. What do you do when God's call makes you uncomfortable? What do you do when God changes the paradigm, challenges the status quo, and stretches you out of your comfort zone? In the last message we looked at the difference between storms that come to test us and those that come as a result of our disobedience. When we experience storms due to our rebellion, we don’t face them in isolation – other people are always affected. We also talked about Jonah’s prayer and what true praying looks like in the midst of our running from God.

This story has more twists and turns than a roller coaster at Six Flags. Chapter 3 shows us what God can do with one person, resulting in of one of the greatest evangelistic crusades in the Bible. Chapter 4 reveals an ungrateful prophet – he preached, they responded, and it ticked him off.
