IS THE PANDEMIC A SIGN OF END TIMES?
“The church has known for 2,000 years that Jesus is coming again, and yet many believers have become lethargic and drowsy. They are no longer excited about the soon-coming of the Lord. As a result, there is little effective witness given that the Lord is returning.” – Warren Wiersbe
“In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south.” – Zechariah 14:4
I. CRISIS WILL INTENSIFY
Whatever you believe about the end times, this much is true:
II. CRISIS WILL BRING OUT THE WORST IN PEOPLE
III. A CRISIS DEMANDS A CHRISTIAN RESPONSE
“It demonstrates that everything necessary for Christ’s return was accomplished within the first generation of Christianity, so that every subsequent generation has been able to believe that Jesus could come back in their times. It should lead us to reject all views that claim to know for sure that Christ is returning in a given year, decade, or century on the basis of some unique event that has never previously occurred in Christian history. . . . the period of time prior to Christ’s return will be characterized by a growing polarization between good and evil.” – The New American Commentary
If these are the last days, how do we pray?
