Trusting Instead of Trying

Galatians 2:15-21

Justification is the act of God whereby He declares the believing sinner righteous in Jesus Christ.

Big Truth:

We are justified by __ in Jesus not by keeping the Law.

We are justified before God when we repent of our sin by placing faith in Jesus plus __! While our actions are important as the __ of salvation, they have nothing to do with __ salvation.

Prior to salvation, we owed a sin debt we could never __.
At salvation, we gained a righteousness we could never __.

Justification is about more than the __ He took; it's also the __ He gave.

“We are saved by faith __, but the faith that saves is never __.” – Martin Luther

That leaves us with several important questions.

1) Have I been saved by the __ of God?
2) Am I trying to __ Law and grace?
3) Am I walking in __?
