Undivided: Godly Wisdom

 

James 3:17-18

 

Big Question: “Who among you is wise and understanding?”

 

Big Truth 1: When asserting wisdom, our claims are evaluated by our conduct. (v. 13)

 

Big Truth 2: When pursuing wisdom, our course is determined by our source. (vv. 14-18)

 

  • The motivation of worldly wisdom is bitter jealousy and selfish ambition. (v. 14)

 

  • The origin of worldly wisdom is earthly (the world), natural (the flesh), and demonic (the devil). (v. 15)

 

  • The results of worldly wisdom bring disorder and every evil thing. (v. 16)
