Discover Sherwood
John Spencer | FAITH 206
Come and learn what it means to be part of Sherwood and how you can plug in. This four-session introduction to the church will help you learn about the mission and vision of our church. We will tour you around much of our facility and help you begin to find out where God has called you to get involved.

Horizontal Jesus
Steve Dzuiban + Billy Guin | FAITH 209
June 2 – June 30
Discover how your vertical relationship with God is connected to horizontal relationships with others. Loving God is vertical love. Loving others is horizontal love. Jesus showed His disciples how these two loves are intertwined in practical ways. While our relationship with God is based on faith alone, He warns and encourages us to see that the way we treat people affects our experience of Him. In this study, you’ll learn how to apply biblical principles drawn from several one-another passages in Scripture. In doing so, you’ll reap blessings in your vertical relationship with God.

Book of Philippians
Dzuiban + Billy Guin | FAITH 209
July 7 – August 4
Although Paul was writing from prison, joy is a dominant theme in this letter. The secret of his joy is grounded in his relationship with Christ.

Discipleship Studies
Scott Dobson | The Hope Center at the Coke Plant (925 Pine Avenue)
June 2 – August 4
Discover how to understand, accept and assist in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our local community.

WOMEN's CLasses

Everyday Theology by Mary Wiley
Holley Richardson | FELLOWSHIP 103 + 104
June 2 – July 28
Theology is the study of God, what He has done, is doing and will do in the world. And it’s not just for those with formal education or those who work at your church. It’s for you in your everyday moments, questions and decisions. It’s for the big and little, the exciting and mundane. Our theology is the basis of our faith and touches every part of our existence. In this 8-session study by Mary Wiley, explore 8 essential doctrines: Scripture, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, humanity, salvation, the church and the end times. Know God more deeply as you examine these foundational truths.

Serve Days
At Sherwood, the statement “Prayer leads us to love God, grow together, serve others and change the world” is something we live out. As we look for more ways to put this into practice, we are serving our community once a month through Serve Days. Make sure to save the dates below. Bring your family and serve with your church as we impact Albany for Christ.
