There is a class or activity for everyone in your family on Wednesday evenings at Sherwood! Join us for Bible studies and activities at 6:30 p.m. Classes include women's/men's Bible studies, children's programs, youth worship services and game time, and more! If you're new to Sherwood, we encourage you to attend Discover Sherwood to learn more about our mission and ministries.

Life University - Spring Classes Schedule | Kicks off on February 3, 2021!

Life University encompasses all activities outside of Sunday morning Connect Groups. Its purpose is to equip our members with evangelism opportunities and tools needed to succeed at the Christian life. The majority of classes take place on Wednesday nights.

The Visitation Team was established to provide a friendly and loving touch to a growing Sherwood congregation. Once a week, the team visits those within our community who are first-time guests to Sherwood, those who are new to the community or new members of the congregation who have been absent for extended periods.

Evangelism Explosion

A study that trains you how to share your faith in Christ and how to bring people from unbelief to belief. In both the classroom and going out with experienced trainers in real-life witnessing situations, you learn how to share your faith.

Explore the Word
Curtis Driver | FAITH 211
Come mine the depth of Ephesians. This study is a verse-by-verse examination of one of the most practical books in the New Testament. Learn more about this roadmap to becoming more like Jesus.

Financial Peace University

How should a believer think about money? This class will teach you what it means to be a good steward of your resources. You will come away with a solid plan for managing your money as well as tools to help you be successful. Learn how to be proactivewith your finances.

Discover Sherwood

Come and learn what it means to be part of Sherwood and how you can plug in. This four-session introduction to the church will help you learn about the mission and vision of the our church. We will tour you around much of our facility and help you begin to find out where God has called you to get involved.

Bible Studies for Life

How are you walking out your faith on a day-to-day basis? This class will help you grow in your walk as you build community around a practical study of scripture.

How Do I Disciple My Friend?

Come find out what it means to live out the Great Commission. This class will walk through one of the most definitive studies of the Great Commission as well as looking at what the beginning steps are for every new believer. Find practical tools to help you make disciples in the mission field God has placed you in. Change the World beginning right where you are.

David Bland, Ken Edmier + Jessica Tabarrok | ABCC 102
Don’t go through separation or divorce alone. DivorceCare seminars and support groups are led by people who understand what you are going through and want to help. You will learn how to heal from the deep hurt of divorce and discover hope for your future.

Tom + Brenda Pollock | ABCC 103
GriefShare is for people grieving the death of a family member or friend. GriefShare groups meet weekly for 13 weeks to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.

The Life of a Jesus Follower

This 8-session Bible study helps us to follow Jesus by investing in the three relationships Jesus pursued: His relationship with the Father, His relationship with the disciples, and His relationship with those who didn’t know God at all.

The Resolution for Men
Albany Biblical Counseling Center

Teacher: Matt Nowicki
This study was inspired by the resolution challenge featured in the movie COURAGEOUS. The resolution contained 12 commitments related to characteristics that all men of God want to pursue, such as responsibility, faithfulness, honor, justice, forgiveness, integrity, and courage. The Resolution Bible study walks participants through each of the 12 challenges, identifying their biblical roots and outlining how to live out each godly principle in real life.

When life hurts hard, we often feel pressure – from ourselves and others – to keep it together or pray it away. But Scripture reveals a God who meets us where we are, not where we pretend to be. This small group Bible study reveals how God uses lament to draw us closer to Him as He leads us through any darkness into His marvelous light.

JOY Building 1st Floor
The heart of AWANA is the gospel message. AWANA strongly emphasizes memorizing and understanding Scripture while offering games and a variety of Bible related activities.

Birth-Two Years
Childcare is also offered for birth-2 years old, so parents may attend their own Life University class, choir practice or serve elsewhere in the church.

K5-5th Grade
