Learn more about becoming a member at Discover Sherwood Session 1, our introductory membership class. Session 1 will be offered twice monthly: on Wednesdays in Faith 206 at 6:30 pm and on Sundays in Joy 122 at 6:00 pm. Email Alice Eubanks for upcoming Discover Sherwood dates.
At Discover Sherwood, you’ll learn our vision, purpose, ministries and structure. Once you’ve completed Discover Sherwood Session 1, you will be invited to join us for Discover Sherwood sessions 2, 3 and 4. Each class focuses on different facets of our church, including our history, doctrinal beliefs and ministry areas.
You will be provided with a tour of the facilities and discover your spiritual gifts. Visit the Connection Center in the atrium for more information.
What are the requirements for membership?
Unless there are concerns that suggest a potential member is at odds with Sherwood’s beliefs, values, vision, or leadership, the requirements of membership are as follows:
Attending Discover Sherwood does not make you a member, but it is designed to help you understand the mission and vision of the church as you pray through a decision to join our fellowship. We believe God calls every Christian to commit to a local church body and ask that our prospects join when the Lord directs them to unite with the body here at Sherwood.
