SERIES DESCRIPTION

Wait: Learning The Value Of Patience

“Good things come to those who wait.” It’s probably true, but patience is hard to learn and frustrating to apply. We live in a culture that celebrates immediate results, instant access, high-speed internet, and getting things done. Waiting seems inconvenient. However, Scripture teaches that there is great value in waiting on the Lord. If we don’t learn to wait on the Lord, we’ll never earnestly seek Him in prayer. Prayer is a waiting game. If we don’t learn to wait on God, we will fail at abiding in Christ. Abiding is a waiting game. If we don’t learn to wait on the Lord, we will live for what’s temporal and not what’s eternal. Waiting is hard, but valuable. God’s timing and our ability to wait on Him makes all the difference. How do we learn to wait when everything inside us and around us says, “Act now”? Join us as we learn the discipline of waiting.
