Vision matters. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint.” God has created humanity with a need for purpose, meaning, and work that is greater than ourselves. Without a God-inspired vision, we focus on temporal things and miss key opportunities to invest in eternity.
We will explore God’s activity at Sherwood. God has done incredible things through Sherwood in the past 66 years, but the journey is not finished. God is always preparing us for what He has prepared for us. He blesses us to be a blessing. He positions us to make a difference. He calls us to be about His Kingdom.
Through this series, we’ll answer questions like: What has God done? Where is God leading? What is God’s heart? How can we join Him? What is Kingdom success?

Mark 10:42-45
Many Christians live __ lives because God has poured far more into them than they’ve been willing to __ out into others.
Key Truth
Serving others is about faithfully __ out what God has poured in.

In the Book of Mark, Jesus shared three texts describing why He came:
“It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus; and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lives in helping others.” – Ephesians 2:10, LB
“Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” – Philippians 2:4, NASB
“For you were called to freedom…only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” – Galatians 5:13, NASB
“God has shown you His grace in many different ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift He has given you in a way that will best serve each other.” – 1 Peter 4:10, NLT
How can we join God in what He’s doing?

Mark 10:13-16
Kingdom Concept
Kingdom success happens when God redeems __ of faithfulness for the advancement of the __ and the expansion of His kingdom.
“The kingdom is the range of God’s __ will where what He wants done is done.” – Dallas Willard
When Christians understand the kingdom, two things happen:
1) It opens our eyes to countless kingdom __.
2) It drops the __ that divide us.
Our __ should not be determined by our circumstances.
Kingdom Principle
When you think “kingdom,” remember the __.
In chapter 10, Jesus shared five paradoxical concepts in order:
1) Two shall be one. (vv. 1-12)
2) Adults shall be as children. (vv. 13-16)
3) First shall be last. (vv. 17-31)
4) Servants shall become rulers. (vv. 32-45)
5) Poor shall become rich. (vv. 46-52)
